Tips for Reading Long and Short Words
Long vowel sounds tin can be confusing for young readers and writers, because of the multiple ways of spelling them. Just practicing long vowel sounds doesn't take to lead to long faces.

This is a good action when students are familiar with your words. Scramble the words and have students write the word correctly. For a whole form activity, try writing a jumbled word on the lath and having students unjumble it onto their own whiteboard.
